As a PADI Assistant Instructor you learn what it is truly like to teach scuba diving, under the watchful eye of a qualified PADI Instructor.

You build upon your abilities to organize and supervise scuba diving activities, while concentrating on developing teaching skills. You learn through:

  • Knowledge development through self-study, quizzes, lectures and presentations
  • Confined water skill review and assessment, workshops and presentations
  • Open water workshops, rescue assessment and candidate presentations

And get a career in the process.

You Will Need to Provide or Purchase:

  • All personal dive gear (except weights).
  • Diving fees not included in course costs.
  • Travel expenses to the location of the program.
 

Special Considerations:

  • Prior to enrolling in this course, you must complete a pre-enrollment meeting/interview to discuss the demands/rigors of this program.
  • This course is offered on an as-needed basis, after consultation with a Surface Interval IDC Staff Instructor
